The SIG Sauer P238 is a compact .380 ACP caliber, single-actionpistol announced by SIG Sauer at the 2009 SHOT Show. It is modelled after the M1911, similar to the Colt Mustang.[1][2] Grip panels are fluted polymer making this an all-metal frame firearm in competition with plastic-framed pistols in the same class like the Ruger LCP and the Kel-Tec P-3AT.[3]

The P238 has an aluminum frame and a stainless steel slide (with the exception of the HD model which is all stainless steel).[4] Initially, P238 pistols had standard sights with night sights as a more expensive option. However, all models currently produced have night sights standard. Starting in 2012, many variants have an ambidextrous thumb safety standard or as an option.

Sig recommends and trains so that the system is to be used as DAO (Double Action Only). You will see that they only list the 6.5 lbs. Trigger pull in DA on their DAK models specifications sheets. They recommend that users should be trained to fire the pistol by utilizing the full double action trigger stroke so that the trigger is a consistent. I have a p938 and have read on and off about the fte issues. I do not fire this weapon as often as I should and have had occasional issues. The serial number is 52804xxxx. Can anyone help with the year made? I may have a gun that I need to send in to SigSauer. P238 & P938 Owner's Manual. Download owners manuals for your SIG SAUER pistols and rifles. The Sig Sauer P938 9mm pistol is an ideal choice for anyone searching for a concealed carry weapon. Deciding on the right gun for you is based on multiple factors. With ten different variations.

Variants[edit]

When introduced in 2009, the P238 was available in a matte black finish and a two-tone finish with a matte silver colored slide and black frame. Since then, SIG Sauer has produced a number of variants including some short run commemorative editions. Among the variants are versions with various finishes, with a stainless steel frame and different grips and embellishments.

The SIG Sauer P938, chambered in 9×19mm Parabellum and introduced at the 2011 SHOT Show,[5] is a slightly larger version of the P238.

/city-car-driving-toyota-corolla-free-download.html. I bought an extra Sig Sauer P938 magazine with my Sig P938 pistol. Bud's price was $41.00 for this, that my local gun store charges 49.99 for. The gun and magazine were delivered as contracted. This was my first purchase from Buds, but it will NOT be my last. We can buy with absolute confidence from this company. Recall[edit]

In July 2009, SIG Sauer issued a recall of all P238s sold within a certain serial number range, which they referred to as a 'Mandatory Safety Upgrade'.[6] The reason stated for the recall was that a small number of P238s were built with defective manual safety levers, leading to 'the remote possibility that the gun could fire unintentionally, thus creating a risk of injury or death', although SIG Sauer emphasized that no such injuries had actually occurred.[6] The recall only applied to pistols within a specific range of serial numbers, DA000501 to DA003216, and did not affect any 27Axxxxxx serialized pistols.[6]

The SIG Sauer P938 is a subcompact single-actionpistol chambered for the 9×19mm Parabellum cartridge, manufactured by SIG Sauer and introduced at the 2011 SHOT Show.[1] A variant chambered for .22 Long Rifle was introduced in 2014.[2]

Design[edit]

The P938, chambered for 9×19mm Parabellum, is a slightly larger version of the SIG Sauer P238 pistol, which is chambered for .380 ACP. Trigger pull for the P938 is listed at 7.5–8.5 lbf (33–38 N). A finger relief exists under the trigger guard. Grip panels are one of three kinds of wood, Hogue G-10 Extreme composite, or rubber wrap-around in the 'Sport' model. The frame is metal, unlike many other subcompact 9 mm handguns. The frame for all P938 models is anodized aluminum alloy, and the slide is stainless steel either bare or with SIG's Nitron coating.[3]

Flush-fit magazines hold 6 rounds, while 7-round magazines with an extension are available. The safety is ambidextrous, while the magazine release is only on the left side.

Specialty versions have been made such as the Scorpion, Nightmare, Extreme, Equinox, AG (aluminum grip), and SAS (SIG Anti-Snag) as well as for the Legion series.[4]
